Christmas Cottage in the Sandhills

It is a beautiful wintery night as I sit here and begin sharing with you our small home dressed for the Christmas season.
The song "Silent Night" has been ringing through my mind for the last couple of weeks, keeping my thoughts on the true reason for the season.
My precious daughter gifted me with this "away in the manger" this season.  As a child, she called the nativity away in the mangers.  Kinda fitting she chose to buy her momma one. :)  I love it so very much!  Thanks my sky baby.
Our colors of choice in the living room were turquoise and greens mixed in with silver and gold tones.  Too bad my husbands "art of choice" keeps the fireplace from being what I would love it to be..but as stated before, a good marriage requires compromise and he's worth it. :)

On a side table, my daughter filled vintage tins/molds with small ornaments.
Entering from the living room into the kitchen/dining there is a shift in colors to the traditional red and greens.
More vintage ornaments are displayed on crystal candle holders down the burlap runner on our dining table.
At my sons request, this tree is decorated with his antlers that are not mounted on a wall in the mancave and a collection of pheasant feathers.  More burlap ties the tree and dining room table together.

Little stocking on the plate will hold the silverware for get togethers.

Our bedroom is dressed for Christmas with the colors that already adorn the room.  Silver limbs from a vintage tinsel tree fill the turquoise balls.  Three Christmas trees sit on top of the yellow dresser with some crystalized garland hangs from the antique mirror.
Our bed has a simple string of clear lights with pipe cleaner snowflakes cascading from it.

My silver tree needed a base so I placed it in a vintage bread box.  I shredded up old sheets of music and placed it around the base of the tree.  All of my icicles are draping from the silver branches
Merry Merry Christmas to you all! Hope you.
Blessings
Roxanne
