Christmas Open House

Here is wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy tour of the Philben home. Hope you enjoy! Blessings , Roxanne

I just finished "wallpapering" some shelving in my living room with scrapbook paper and spray adhesive and decided not to put anything back onthe shelves until after Christmas. I found the turquoise reindeer on 40% sale so purchased 3 for $4.00. The three sleighs filled with ornaments are from the thrift store. Two were already silver and one I spray painted to match the others. The "P"s I bought from HL @ 40% off and the frame from a junk jaunt this fall... soo in total this new makeover cost around $18.00. It feels so good to accomplish a lot with a little.

This is in the walkway from the living room into my kitchen. The picture is one I fell in love with and purchased and decided to go with the blue and silver theme here.
I came home from spending some special time with my best friend (my mother) to find my DH had completely decorated outside for me. He did such a fabulous job I thought you needed to see his work as well.

This wreath I made with lots of hot glue, owie fingers, ornaments from the local thrift store, and another one of the frames from my junk jaunt.

Twigs from my yard spray painted silver and a little foo foo to go along with them:-)
I made this chandelier with a few teacups and an old candle holder. Looks cute with candles in the teacups. I made it to sell.... but here it is.
This poinsettia tree is a gift from my grandmother who is 86. I love love it and will cherish it forever.
Can you tell I love old ornaments? I put a string of lights in with them and wow they sparkle!! The candle holders are thrift store glass holders that I silver leafed and antiqued.

My brother made me these shelves from scrap lumber and they are so fun to decorate. The picture is from my soon to be sister in law. It was some upholstery fabric that she framed. I dearly love it paired with some old skates.

This is our bedroom again decorated with some of my finds.
Like my bucket of used tinsel?
I picked up these plates @ the thrift store and liked the unmatchy look of the three together

The cover over my bed is a tablecloth. Stole this idea from another clever blogger... can't remember which one though or I would give her the credit.
I love these huge snowflakes. Found them @ Walmart for $2.00 a piece. The christmas plates are gifts from my Mom, Mom in law and my husband from last Christmas. We have been eating on them since before Christmas to make sure and get a lot of use out of them.
I purchased these antique wreaths for a steal @ an antique store and each one of my dining chairs has a wreath on the back.

Yep, more ornaments in my punch bowl.

My Mom surprised me with a new tablecloth that is actually long enough for my enormous table. Thanks Mom....

I wanted to show case the true meaning for the season and so I painted this cake tray and waaa laaa.
This is an old bulletin board covered with fabric, feathers and joy.

And two of my precious babies displaying my daughters village in her room. She is my little decorator.

Awesome! I love the ornament tray and your ornament wreath.

Oh, be careful with those C7 and C9 lights on your windows, near the curtains.

They get really hot. I was sitting on the couch, years back, untangling a strand and I smelled a burning smell. One of the lights burned a whole through the couch and was smoking!

This was over a decade ago, so hopefully they don't get as hot as they used to.
